Vitamin Forms on Supplement Labels
A vitamin name tells you the nutrient. The source form tells you the chemical form used in the product. Examples include cholecalciferol for Vitamin D3 and methylcobalamin for Vitamin B12. Start with the nutrient amount per serving and percent Daily Value. Then read the source form. A form name gives useful detail, but it does not create a simple ranking across every person and product. MPG 125 Drive product information lists several vitamin forms, which makes the formula a useful example of how detailed label names work.
