Pour Point

Pour point is the lowest temperature at which a fuel or lubricant still flows under a defined laboratory test. Pour point gives a standardized low-temperature comparison. It does not describe every fuel-system condition in a vehicle or piece of equipment. Diesel performance also depends on fuel composition, filters, temperature history, and other factors. MPG uses pour-point language in current Xp3 Diesel Winter Extreme product information. ESX treats the term as a technical definition and keeps specific performance numbers attributed to MPG.
