Fuel Detergents

Fuel detergents are additive components designed to help manage deposits in parts of a fuel system or combustion system. They are one category within the larger fuel-additive market. Do not treat every fuel additive as a detergent. Some products focus on storage, octane, lubricity, cold-weather flow, or other functions. Read the product label for its intended use and treatment ratio. When MPG product material uses fuel-additive terminology, ESX separates the general technical term from the manufacturer performance statements.
