Barley Grass

Barley grass is the young leafy growth of the barley plant before grain maturity. Greens powders use dried barley grass or barley grass juice powder as a plant ingredient. Barley grass and barley grain are different plant materials. Product labels should identify the form used. If gluten is a concern, review the finished product allergen statement and manufacturing information rather than relying only on the plant name.
